PAST EVENTS
| In this year's Christmas service, we started with a barbeque at 7:00 pm. where we had great time of eating & fellowship. This is then followed by the service where we sang several traditional carols. After that the Youth Fellowship team staged a play about a couple of angels in heaven discussing & deliberating over The Lord's decision to personally go down to earth to save mankind from their sins. It was a simple, yet theologically profound play which spoke volumes to many of us who watched it. It was another fantastic achievement by Charis' dynamic youths under the powerful guiding hands of The Holy Spirit ! This was then followed by a extremely inspiring evangelistic message by The Reverend Dr. Paul Hawke, our guest speaker. The title of his message was "The Little Things of Christmas". Many hearts were touched and ministered to by this message and at the end, one person raised his hand to accept Christ as his saviour. Glory be to God ! | The Youth Fellowship team were at Genting Highlands from 3rd. to 7th. December 2000 to participate in NYD Camp 2000 organised by The Assemblies Of God of Singapore National Youth Department. They had a really wonderful time at the camp and were thoroughly ministered to by the well-known camp speakers, Mark "Tugboat" Muirhead & Dexter "Loveboat" Williams ( www.worldwideyouth.org ) who specialise in communicating to students. This is one event which the youths will remember for a very long time ! | |||

| The Youth Fellowship team organised a barbeque at Fairy Point Chalet #7 at Changi on the evening of 29th. September 2000 where a number of non-Christian teenagers were invited to participate. The barbeque culminated with a short but powerful & thought provoking message by our guest speaker Mr. Phil DiMusto. At the end of the message, several teenagers responded by following Phil in a sinner's prayer to receive Christ as their personal saviour. Praise The Lord ! | ||
| We had a wonderful Church Camp at Port Dickson from 9th to 12th. June 2000. Our guest speaker at the Camp was Rev. Dr. Vincent Leoh of Glad Tidings AG Church in Petaling Jaya. He spoke to us on "Empowerment For The Lord's Service" which greatly challenged, encouraged and inspired us. | ||

| An excellent evangelistic play was staged by the Youth Fellowship team on Christmas Day of 1999. The play was called "The Roman Inquisition" and its setting was the time shortly after Christ's resurrection. The story focused mainly on 2 Roman soldiers who were frantically trying to explain away their encounter with the resurrection to their commander who was upset at the dissappearance of Jesus's body from the garden tomb. Although this play had an "Easter" theme, it turned out to be a very successful Christmas play and the audience loved it ! The play was followed by a short & interesting gospel message by our guest speaker. | |||
