Handling Rejection

Scripture Verses :

Mtt. 10:37-42


Summary :

-everyone loves to be loved
-we shower our friends with love
-however, the only worthy & completely loyal friend we have is Jesus Christ
-rejection brings about pain & causes deep wounds in a person's psyche
-our love for Christ must make our love for our loved ones pale in comparison
-we need Christ's healing touch to forgive those who hate us & hurt us
-whether people love or hate us, we must not take it personally
-those who receive the gospel accept Christ & not us, just as those who reject the gospel reject Christ & not us
-nursing grudges affects our physical & mental health
-we get hurt often because our expectations are too high
-people may reject us but we should count it a blessing when we are accepted
-we must still, however, speak the truth about God & sin
-we must be prepared for rejection
-a true prophet's reward is the honour of God
-a righteous man's reward is seeing God's justice being done in his life
-what do we expect from the Lord at the end of our days?
