Lke 18:18-27

Summary :

-the rich young ruler felt a great dissatisfaction deep down
-we should not have a wrong system of belief
-he was "in" the system
-inspite of keeping all the laws he was empty
-he had no life or joy
-Christ told him to walk in complete surrender to God
-his wealth was his barrier preventing
him coming close to God
-there should be no barrier between us & God
-it was not the hard religious system which was his obstacle but his wealth
-he could not let go of his wealth
-Jesus made a challenge to discipleship & committment to the rich young ruler
-humility is essential to entering the kingdom of God
-the rich can only be saved on God's terms
-we are not saved because of our economic status
-it is important to have Christ no matter if we are rich or poor
